The alliance is administered by VANISHED.COM and the Internet Marketing is handled by NETVESTA.COM an Arizona based Internet Marketing company The alliance intends to unite Videographers in all states together into a family history video resource community. Vanished provides the historical expertise and lead generating structure for the organization. Professional Historians and Genealogists provide the historical assistance to the Videographers.
HOW WE OBTAIN AND PROCESS THE LEADS BEFORE WE TURN THE LEADS OVER TO THE VIDEOGRAPHER
- Our researcher checks our databases and other sources for individuals interested in family history in a specific state and then e – mails those individuals about our Family History Video program The text of the letter is as follow:
“ Mary, I noticed that you are looking for the Shattuck Family in Massachusetts. Our Genealogy site vanished.com offers one free consultation by e-mail if you are interested in having some advice on finding a family member. I was also wondering if you had ever thought of having your family history put on Video. E mail us if you would like some more information.”
- When a prospect e-mails us back with some interest in a video we e-mail them asking the time frame for their project i.e 1865 to the present. We also ask them how much research they have completed on their family
- This is followed up with a telephone call to discuss the project. During this conversation we ask the prospect if they have thought about a budget for the project. We also suggest that they get Brothers and Sisters involved in financing the family history.
- Based on the conversation we contact the Videographer for the state in which the prospect is interested in having a history done. The Videographer will receive a historic timeline for the project, people to contact and an outline of the questions that will need to be asked of the people being interviewed.
- Our company will do any research that needs to be done and will bill the client separately for the work.
- The Videographer contacts the client and discusses the three project packages, and discusses the fee for services. We have nothing to do with setting fee structure.
- If the client agrees the Videographer and our company representative will discuss in more detail the specifics of the project. We will provide e-mail support and telephone support throughout the project. This will include comprehensive interview questions and timelines.
FAMILY HISTORY VIDIO FORMATS
BASIC FORMAT
- This format includes one video interview with three people. This usually includes the client and his/her parents. (we provide a comprehensive questionnaire that the Vidiographer can use.
- The history will cover the last 125 years and will include client, parents, Grand parents and Great grandparents. And Great Great Grandparents.
- 30 photographs
- Music background
- Visual effects for Introduction and close.
- 5 documents (birth certificate etc)
- Pedigree Chart
Our suggested cost would be $3,000 to $4,500. Keep in mind this is only our suggestion. YOU MAKE THE FINAL DETERMINATION
STANDARD FORMAT
This format would be for clients that have an extensive amount of research completed. The format would include all of the basic format items as well as:
- Up to 3 additional people interviewed
- Short biographical sketch of up to 10 people.
- 50 additional photo’s
- 5 additional documents
- 5 material culture items ( dress, rifle, lodge pin etc.)
- Biographical information on 3 generations before great grandparents. This does not include children of these generations.
- Special visual effects in the introduction and ending.
- This format includes Paternal and Maternal lines back thru Great Great Grandparents. For 3 earlier Generations client will need to choose either the paternal or maternal line.

CUSTOM FORMAT
This would be a comprehensive Family History and would require an extensive planning process. A great deal of emphasis would be on placing the family history within the context of the history of the period family lived in. This would be ideal for families that have done extensive research on their family and have family members that were famous or prominent. Our staff will be contacting descendants of prominent families who are doing Genealogy research.

BENEFITS
1. Provide quality leads. By quality we mean that each lead has indicated to us that they are currently researching their family
history. We e-mail these individuals asking them if they would like to consider having a family history taped. If they say yes
then we e mail them again and ask if we could have a videographer contact them. If they say yes we turn the lead over to you.
2. Technical support in putting together the interview questions as well as helping you put together the timeline for the project.
3. Technical support in putting together your online family history videoforum which will drive significant traffic to your web site.
4. Each state will have a weekly Video Family History program online. You will be able to host one of these programs every
month.
YOUR COMPANY’S PRIMARY AND SECONDARY ROLE IN THE ALLIANCE
PRIMARY ROLE
You are the primary when you close a sale. The customer will live in your area and you are in control of the whole project. However the customer will probably have other family members in other parts of the country that will need to be interviewed. It’s also possible that the customer may have ancestral homes they want videotaped. In that case we give you the name of a Videographer member in another state that does the work. That Videographer becomes a secondary Videographer. The Videographer sends the video to you for inclusion. Keep in mind the project is your project and you charge your rate.
SECONDARY ROLE
This would be a situation where you received an order to interview someone in your area or a request to Video tape a home. You would do the work and send it to the primary Videographer and be paid for the specific assignment.
ALLIANCE MEMBERSHIP COSTS
The cost of membership is $175 a year
$20 a month
After you are finished with the project you pay our company vanished.com a commission of 8% of what you charged your client.
