HAVING TROUBLE FINDING A RELATIVE?  Often, the reason is,  they were members of classes of people  that left few records.  As we open our new section of vanished we are going to begin with  a database and information page devoted to Hobos.  Hobo's were workers  who lived and roamed the country looking for work from the time of the end of the Civil War until  the early 1940's.  Hobo's still exist but they are becoming extinct and there are few that fit the description of the Hobo of the past.

Do you have a hobo ancestor?  Send us your information so we can include  them in our hobo database.  Do you have the name/names of ancestors you can't find that you suspect had become wanderers.  Send them to us and we will include them in our missing ancestor database.  To qualify this ancestor must appear in some record but then suddenly disappears.  The period must also be between 1870 and 1940. The person must also have been between 12 and 40 when he/she appeared in a record.
