This is an introductory course that  will be a part of  an in depth  course of study on doing African American Genealogy.

            B. What did they do?  Born, baptised, married, or died.

            C. Where – Where did they accomplish what they did?

            D. When did they accomplish what they did?

            E. How are they related to you?

VI. Home Search

A.     Find family bibles; birth, marriage, and death certificates; military

     records; diaries; letters; newspaper clippings;          

     photographs, scrapbooks and baby books.

Charlotte Marie Bocage is a full-time professional genealogist with more than four decades of experience.  The 1977 the TV series Roots inspired her to put a name to what she had been doing for so long and to formally continue her genealogical search.  She is the Bocage Family genealogist and historian tracing her paternal family back to 19th century Louisiana.  The names in her family database were published in two Bocage family history books and one Bloom Family History book.  Her Louisiana Research book is in development.
